What You Can Do

If you received a data breach notification letter from Automated Business Solutions, you may be entitled to compensation or other remedies. Our firm is exploring legal options for affected individuals, including the possibility of a class action lawsuit to recover damages for the potential misuse of personal information.

To protect yourself, consider the following steps:

  • Enroll in Credit Monitoring: Consider enrolling in a credit monitoring service to help you monitor your credit.
  • Place a Fraud Alert: Contact one of the three major credit bureaus (Equifax, Experian, or TransUnion) to place a free one-year fraud alert on your credit file, requiring creditors to verify your identity before opening new accounts.
  • Consider a Security Freeze: Request a security freeze on your credit file to prevent unauthorized access to your credit report. This can be done by contacting Equifax, Experian, and TransUnion.
  • Monitor Your Accounts: Regularly review your financial statements and credit reports for suspicious activity. You are entitled to one free credit report every 12 months from each major credit bureau at www.annualcreditreport.com.
  • File a Police Report: If you suspect identity theft, file a police report with your local law enforcement agency and obtain a copy for your records.
